About this click speed test

cpsboost.com is a free click speed test that measures your clicks per second (CPS) โ€” a common benchmark for reflexes, mouse control, and clicking technique used by gamers to compare Minecraft PvP click speed, jitter clicking, and butterfly clicking styles. Pick a duration (5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds) or race to 100 clicks as fast as possible, then see your CPS, a fun skill rating, and how you stack up against your own personal best.

Everything runs locally in your browser โ€” your clicks and scores are never uploaded anywhere, and your personal best is stored only in this browser via localStorage.

How is CPS calculated?

CPS (clicks per second) is simply your total number of clicks divided by the elapsed time in seconds: CPS = total clicks รท elapsed seconds. In timed modes (5s/10s/30s/60s), the elapsed time is the fixed duration you selected. In 100-click mode, the elapsed time is however long it took you to land all 100 clicks, so a faster finish means a higher CPS.

What's a good CPS score?

Most people click between 4 and 7 times per second with a normal clicking technique. Above 8 CPS is considered fast, and scores past 10 CPS usually involve specialized techniques like jitter clicking or butterfly clicking rather than a single finger tapping normally.

Does mode length affect my CPS?

Yes โ€” shorter tests (like 5 seconds) tend to produce higher peak CPS because fatigue hasn't set in yet, while longer tests (30s or 60s) are a better measure of sustained clicking speed. Try a few modes to see the difference.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes. The click target responds to both touch and mouse input, and clicks are counted once per tap or press โ€” no double-counting between touch and mouse events.

Is my personal best saved anywhere online?

No. Your personal best CPS is saved only in your browser's local storage on this device. Clearing your browser data or switching devices/browsers will reset it.
